The 2014 Herbalife Triathlon changed course and decided to explore Los Angeles through a new lens. Instead of the Santa Monica to Downtown course established in previous years, this time the city celebrated the Torrance coastline. The 2014 Herbalife Triathlon location in Torrance boasted a course that L.A. will use for its bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics!

The start and finish of the 2014 Herbalife Triathlon took place on the beautiful Torrance Beach. Racers had the opportunity to run segments through the entire city, including residential streets, Miramar Park and the beachfront path. The competition events included Olympic, Sprint and Super Sprint distances, relays, two youth courses and a 5K running race.

Furthermore, the event schedule included a TriathlonLAB Health and Wellness Expo with vendors, retailers, workshops and course talks, all of which were free to attend.

Herbalife caught up with Frank Scotto, Mayor of Torrance who enthusiastically told us, “These are the types of events we want to bring to Torrance. We value opportunities that help us raise awareness about our city, promote health and wellness to our residents and businesses, and provide a positive economic benefit for our local hotel, food/beverage and retail businesses.”
