Honoring the Spirit of the 2015 Special Olympics and Delivering a Message of Hope

Over the course of 46 days, 3 simultaneous relays will carry the #LA2015 Flame of Hope across the country to Los Angeles for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. Independent Herbalife Members Robert Lockhart and Cipriano Montes participated in the Special Olympics Torch Relay and carried the Flame of Hope representing Herbalife.

The Flame of Hope was lit from the rays of the sun in Greece, the home of the Olympics, and traveled across the sea to the United States where it began its journey throughout the country and Southern California, ending at the Opening Ceremony in the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. 

Herbalife is partnering with the 2015 Special Olympics World Games and will assist in meeting the nutritional needs of 7,000 athletes and 3,000 coaches from 177 countries during their nine days in Los Angeles for the World Games, July 25-August 2, 2015.

As Games Supplier, Herbalife will support the World Games participants and attendees, providing 300,000 meal replacement bars to athletes, coaches, staff, volunteers, families program and Honored Guests at all sports venues and general dining areas. Additionally, the Herbalife Los Angeles Distribution Center in Carson was the organizing committee’s Uniform Distribution and Credentialing Center (UDAC), and volunteer registration hub.
