We are thrilled to receive the Socially Responsible Company Award from the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE), Mexico’s leading institutions on evaluating how the activities of an enterprise positively affect the quality of life of its employees and the communities in which they operate.
This is the tenth time in a row that Herbalife Nutrition Mexico had received this award, which reinforces our commitment to our corporate values – we always do what’s right, we work together, and we build it better – and the conviction that giving back to our communities is part of our DNA.
CEMEFI and AliaRSE use these five criteria when recognizing companies:
- Employees’ quality of life
The company promotes favorable working conditions to support the quality of life, human, and professional development.
- Environment and sustainability
The company respects the ecological environment in each and every one of the operations and commercialization processes and contributes to the preservation of the environment.
- Responsible product advertising
The company encourages a culture of responsible competitiveness that seeks the goals and success of the business while contributing to the well-being of society.
- Ethics and compliance
The company makes public its values, combats corruption practices internally and externally, and performs based on a code of ethics. It also engages in participatory leadership practices which comprise solidarity, service, and respect.
- Community engagement
The company identifies and supports social causes as part of its business action strategy. It invests time, talent, and resources in the development of the communities in which it operates.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a permanent, ongoing process in our company. We are continuously working on making sure we follow CSR best practices throughout our everyday work.
We would like to recognize Alma Andrea Olalde, Government Affairs and Social Responsibility Manager, who leads efforts to coordinate the plans and actions to be reported each year.
