The Hunger Project is a global, nonprofit organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger.
Under the Nutrition for Zero Hunger initiative, together with the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF)*, our partnership will support The Hunger Project in its work to address the issues of global hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition.
Founded in 1977, The Hunger Project is a global nonprofit organization whose mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, community-led, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world. The Hunger Project is active in 23 countries, with its global headquarters in New York.
Our partnership with The Hunger Project will support the organization’s women-centered, community-led development and educational programs, investing in rural communities around the world affected by food insecurity and malnutrition.
The Hunger Project-Bangladesh was established to identify, support, and train local women leaders, who in turn connect with other rural women. They train their neighbors in ways to improve their families’ health and nutrition, particularly during the first 1,000 days of pregnancy and the child’s life.
Our support of The Hunger Project, made possible through HNF grants*, enabled an additional 30,000 women in Bangladesh to attend the 1,000 Days Essential Nutrition Education Actions courtyard meetings on child and maternal nutrition.
*Includes contributions from the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF). As a public charity, HNF chooses to join Herbalife Nutrition in some charitable initiatives where mission and goals are aligned.
