A Nutrition for Zero Hunger Partner

Partnering with World Food Program USA

World Food Program USA (WFP USA) is the recognized leader in America’s pursuit to end global hunger. Consistent with the mission of the UN World Food Programme, WFP USA works with U.S. policymakers, corporations, foundations, and individuals to help provide financial and in-kind resources and develop policies needed to alleviate global hunger.

About WFP USA

WFP USA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports the mission of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in the U.S. WFP is the largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.

A critical way in which WFP fights hunger is through emergency relief. From hurricanes and cyclones to outbreaks of conflict and drought, WFP responds immediately, delivering humanitarian aid and food to nearly 90 million people suffering from hunger in more than 80 countries each year.

Food security is one of the most important responses concerning the management of natural disasters.

Our partnership with WFP USA allows us to tackle a very specific aspect of food insecurity, working to make sure everyone – even amidst emergencies – has access to nutritious food.*

Responding to Communities in Need

In 2020, Hurricane Eta, one of the worst storms to hit Guatemala in decades, destroyed local infrastructure and rural livelihoods. In the country’s time of need, Herbalife Nutrition donated to the Eta emergency response efforts in Guatemala and enabled the UN World Food Programme to assist over 8,600 people for 60 days.

Herbalife Nutrition’s contribution helped the UN World Food Programme reach more than 62,000 Guatemalans with critical assistance while supporting food security and nutrition in these vulnerable communities.

“Because of the support of partners like Herbalife Nutrition, WFP is in a strong position to tackle this virus, but there’s still much more to be done. The outbreak has been devastating to families worldwide and requires an unprecedented response from business partners to humanitarian and government agencies.”
