In just a few days, we’ll close the chapter on 2021, and I find myself reflecting on the impact Herbalife Nutrition had around the world. Our team’s passion and enthusiasm impacted millions of lives, and I am extremely proud of what we have done to improve communities worldwide.

We continued to operate in the grips of a global pandemic yet made each day count as people sought support in their health and wellness journey.

Our independent distributors delivered above and beyond, working with an entrepreneurial spirit to help their customers achieve personalized nutrition goals.

Because Herbalife Nutrition is a direct-selling company with a global presence in 95 markets, independent distributors drive our success. They approach each day with resilience and creativity to build their own future while creating economic opportunities for others. In 2021, independent distributors continued to create results, connect communities, and introduce new audiences to our business opportunity. This included a greater interest from millennials and Gen Z, who put their own unique entrepreneurial spin on running a business.

Providing the right support to independent distributors is critical to our future growth. Operating a business requires hard work and determination, and we know we must continue to provide the products, tools, and training to help our independent distributors thrive while achieving our own goals.

Great-tasting, science-backed nutrition products have always been critical to our business, and I’m excited by the continued growth in our offerings. As the #1 brand in weight management,* new product innovation continued to be a strategic focus globally as we released 26 new products in 2021. We also expanded into the soup and baked goods categories, giving customers more ways to enjoy our nutritious products.

This year, we also reaffirmed our decades-long commitment to Global Responsibility – expanding access to quality nutrition, economic empowerment, and improving our planet – with the release of our first-ever Global Responsibility Report. This report highlighted our achievements, commitments, and ongoing progress around our work in nourishing people and our planet and increasing access to economic opportunities. We have set out an ambitious plan to create 50 million positive impacts in the world by 2030, which marks Herbalife Nutrition’s 50th Anniversary. We are proud of our work in this area, yet we know there is still much to accomplish. We are not deterred by this challenge but instead are inspired by the potential to do even more.

I’m also thankful for the overwhelming generosity of our global community through their donations to the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation. In 2021, the Foundation expects to grant $4.7 million to non-profit Herbalife Nutrition Casa partners, which support building stronger communities by providing children access to good nutrition.

None of this would be possible without our talented team of employees, who are fueled by possibility and supported through a culture rooted in servant leadership, collaborating in a powerful way. In fact, in 2021, we were recognized as one of the ‘Elite 8’ companies within Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces® Awards, specifically for our global programs that support manager empowerment.

2021 has shown us what’s possible, even in the most challenging global circumstances. Trust guided every aspect of our work as we championed the success of our employees, independent distributors, and their customers. Seeing people grow is one of the most rewarding experiences as a leader, and I’m thankful for a team that trusts our ambitious vision. In 2022, maintaining and building even greater trust with our stakeholders will be critical for us to deliver on our goals and celebrate even bigger milestones. What we do today to help people create healthier lives and build strong communities will lead to an even brighter tomorrow.

Congratulations on a great 2021. Let’s continue to work together to achieve big things as we head into the New Year.
